We understand group tutoring lessons can be daunting, especially for first-timers. Here are a few tips to help you succeed:

1) Handling a group tutoring lesson 🧑🎓
Make sure that all your students are included! There are going to be a range of different personalities, from shy to super confident, so make sure everyone is being included into the conversation.
TIPS:
Ask questions to the students individually, especially if you can see a student lagging behind others.
When asking a question, make sure that you get a response from every student with a thorough explanation.

2) Prepare lots of different resources 📚
Ensure you have a variety of resources available, spanning different difficulty levels, to assess each student's proficiency. Starting with an exercise at the beginning of the session can help you gauge individual skill levels.
TIPS:
It's always better to be over prepared, rather than under prepared, so make sure you’ve got a range of different material
Set goals and targets for each student based on their first exercise performance.

3) Be a confident leader 🧑🏫
Make sure to take control of the room, but not in an intimidating way. You want the environment to be fun and educational
TIPS
If a particular student is struggling, sometimes it can be good to get a fellow student to try and help them. This will benefit them both.
Always start and end the session positively. Start with learning objectives and targets, and end with a discussion of what was achieved.
